Not long ago bought my ve ssv. When I bought the car the light did not work in the tray. I thought it might have been a blown bulb. Since then I have discovered there is no power entering the actual hardtop. The plug itself has no power. Wad just wondering where I can find where the hardtop actually gets its power from? Is it behind the backboard in the cabin? Thanks if someone has a wiring diagram that might help. Would be much appreciated

may have just been sloppy work from the dealer,i had the same problem with a triton ute a few years back and the wiring just wasn't connected at the relay, also with Toyota aurions with the factory loom you have to install a relay or something under the glovebox or the lights etc on towbar wont work,he never checked with his little lights etc adapter if it would work, just assumed it would

Ithe strut isn't the problem I don't think. As there is no power even entering through the cabin to tray wall. Just wondering if maybe there's a fuse blown in the cabin or something that could be causing this problem

not quite sure but check the fusebox undewr the dash for a blown fuse, would prob be labelled interior light,if its under warranty just get the service manager off his arse and tell him to fix it,i did that in Hamilton vic and he duly got off his butt, just have a smile on your face when you say it lol

Why don't you just check all the fuses? Often times, dealer fitted accessories are wired into unrelated items.

agree with above, the one I had in the triton from memory was powered off the brake lights,so in otherwords you needed to have the lights turned to on for it to work, something to do with accidentally draining the battery if was left on during the day

hope this helps
