The cruise control buttons are "momentary" switches (A type of switch usually in the form of a push button that is only engaged while it is being depressed).
When the cruise control switch is depressed, it sends a signal to the BCM to activate it.
If the light is only coming on when the button is held, it may mean that the BCM is not holding the signal from the button.
In other words, the signal from the switch is not properly turning on the part of the BCM that controls the cruise control.

It may also pay to check the plug on the CC module its self.
Make sure it's plugged in properly and so on.

Cool thanks.. I'll double check the plugs and hope for the best... But I realized today I have no traction control either... And correct me if I'm wrong but they're related?.. Either way she's booked into tonkins to get checked out... Might be a bit over my head..

No, They are not related components.

They are related in the sense that they both rely on a VSS signal to engage.

True Tas. But they function independently of each other.
If it is the BCM, I'm just wondering if the VSS signal is the same one for each component
and that signal is not there.
Just a thought.

I thought they both relied on the BCM, but wasn't sure... Don't think either have worked since I bought it so it could have possibly been sold due to the previous owner not willing to replace it...

trhey may function independently... but if one loses VSS the other will also. Two faults, one cause.
