Hi, I'm building a buggy that is due to get an ecotec VS V6 (Auto + PCM with memcal VATS removed). Before I go building the frame and mounts I want to get the engine running to on the stand to make sure that it will operate once fitted.

My Question is this:

* What sensors and PCM peripherals are required to have the engine idling.

* Are there any sensors that don't have a default/limp home mode? ie. MAF is not fitted, nor are the oxygen sensors - can I get it idling without these and fit at a later date?

* Currently I have the following wired in:

  • Iginition relay
  • Fuel Pump Relay
  • EFI relay
  • DFI module
  • Crankshaft sensor
  • Camshaft sensor
  • 2 x Knock sensors
  • TPS
  • IAC

Essentially I am running the standard engine loom, and building only what I need on the (+) ignition side.
I currently have spark and fuel+pressure in the rail, but can't get it to start. Haven't been able to check if injectors are injecting, that is the next step but I'm just scouting for other possible issues at the same time.

Thanks
