Hey everyone, I have piled through forums and read diagrams and books regarding this, so i do apologise if this thread has been discussed, but i am at desperate stage now.
Ok, so i have a 1999 exec that was a stocky 6 (look in my other posts for the car info) I put an ls1 6 speed into it. Everything is now done. The last thing I have with the car is this pesky alternator wire. So the sense wire is good and so is the B+ cable, all replaced. The previous owner of the motor tapped the battery dash light wire to the side. I was always under the impression that it was not necessary, but i have found that it triggers the alternator on start with an 8.5v current. i have tested everything else and it all works fine and (i know its bad being 12v for the reg) but i have tapped the wire on the battery and it triggers the alternator to start and the volts go to 14.4.
CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP ME LOCATE THE ACTUAL WIRE FROM THE BACK OF THE DASH OR HELP ME FIND WHERE IT IS IN THE ENGINE BAY. SUCH A SMALL THING HOLDING ME BACK FROM COMPLETION.
