Brake warning light on constantly

Hey guys just after a little help with my vy, I have a problem where the brake warning light stays on making that annoying tune when I drive around I've checked the handbrake switch and wiring right back to the dash, when I test the hand brake switch the power drops off but then comes back like it's getting another signal from somewhere else, I've pulled the dash display apart to look for anything obvious but all looked ok, has anybody had this problem before and can help me out please I'm wondering if it is in the sash cluster as I've heard the vex models had problems with clusters any help would be greatly appreciated

I thought the brake warning light/sound was for a drop in resistance when a globe gives up working.

I think he means the tune the car plays when you leave the handbrake on. That displays on the cluster. Maybe the switch itself is shorting as it closes?
