Hey,,,

Trying to install a shift light into a VZ, had a search and looks like the 'only' way to do it is run a wire through the fire wall into the coil packs for tacho reading..? Why couldn't I use the tacho wire in the dash cluster wiring instead? (by the diagram I have here is the brown/orange wire) which is alot easier so I can steal power and ground at the same time...or is this a multi purpose wire and will not work?

Cheers

Okaaaaay.......
I personally wouldn't go connecting any aftermarket accessories, other than globes to the instrument cluster.
It's a delicate piece of equipment and not worth mucking around with.
I would run the wire to the coils to be on the safe side.

If you are looking for an alternative way to run the wire/wires, I found this useful.
