Hey,

The windscreen wipers on my ute are getting really slow and this is something I really want to jump on before we start getting some rain.
On all wiper speeds, the wipers move at the same slow pace. Does this mean the motor is on its way out?
Or what needs fixing to restore speed to the wipers?

I did a search on here and found a DIY to change the motor. I just need to be sure that's the problem here?

By the sounds of it, its the bcm at fault or the wiper stalk has a short. Do U get intermittent wipers at all?

Sorry, yes I have intermitted wipers which function.
Its the actual motion of the wiper that is slow. All speeds have the same slow motion across the windscreen. The time between wiping the screen decreases each click you go down. If that makes sense?

Lift the arms off the glass and try all settings again, this removes some load off the motor. Although its pointing to the motor, it may be moving parts binding which a grease may fix it.

Pull off the cowling and have a look.
