Hey guys,

Just about finished my build with the injected 304.

Using a come manifold and 1000cfm 4 barrel throttle body.

The sensors on the old throttle body is the TPS? and idle control? im not sure
there is one thats on the butterfly pivot underneath and a bigger one on the side.

Do i need both these sensors on the new 4 barrel throttle body?

There is a TPS one on the new throttle body but the plug is different and the one of the old T/Body does not fit on the new T/Body.

TPS on new throttle body?

some plug that leads to little holes under the butter fly, both ends of T/B

old idle control valve?

Old TPS?

Yeah TPS and IAC. Don't forget the MAT sensor as well. What brand is that throttle body cause it just looks cheap and nasty?

yep it is cheap and nasty i got it next to nothing, i got it second hand, i believe its a procomp?
its only to get me by for a year i never drive the car. i will upgrade later on.

main concern is where the hell can i mount this IAC?
or will it matter if its not in the car untill i get it on the dyno?

How else do you expect to idle properly without it? I wouldn't even waste the time with a procomp throttle body. Mine is an Edelbrock 3878 and it has everything ready to go. Your going to have to probably bodgy something to get it to work.

Can I suggest heading to V8 development section? The other guys hang out there might have some tricks up their sleeves

Also one other thing. With that vacuum tree you will struggle to get a filter on.

Well, i thought it would be okay to run cam in with out it because it will be running over 2000 rpm. I will flog them off and get something else then.

How much did you pay for the edelbrock if you can remember and where from?

Thanks

Oh the vacuum tree isn't screwed in and already the filter clears. :)

Cheers

Well that's good :) I paid something like $500 delivered. Came with all the GM sensors so was bolt on.

yeah sweet thanks,

I dont see why i need to use the IAC thing because there is no fault code for it. i always had idle issues with the old banana manifold..

Sorry if im coming across like i dont know anything its my first engine rebuild i have had plenty of questions haha
