Hello All,

I bought a VU series II ute same as VX I'm sure. Anyway the power mirrors only go right.

I see the threads about pulling them apart and cleaning the contacts, but I just got one from the wreckers for $15.

Guess what, exact same thing - going to the right only...

The right hand speaker sounded a bit broken as well.

Power window is all good as is central locking.

What would the next step be, right hand door loom, looking for some ideas.

Thanks,
Steve.

I've got a VXII with one that only goes right - should really get around to fixing it but tbh once it's set I don't care anymore.

Wonder if this is a common fault or not.

Just a follow up for anyone who searches for this (hahah, who am I kidding) I disassembled the switch, cleaned the contacts on the PCB with an eraser and contact cleaner (very similar to MAF cleaner can be bought from Jaycar) - no fingers here kids as fingers leave oily residue behind this is bad. Then the pads that make contact I cleaned as well and then re-assembled the switch and it's as good as new.

All up maybe a 15 minute job and no new switch needed!
