Holden commodore wagon
Hi guys looking for help
Yesterday my 2001 Holden wagon started fine but after a few ks the dash died and no speedo ect but battery, air bag lights etc were on. The car seemed to be driving fine still then started to miss intermittently. Made it to work fine but car would start after due to dead battery. After a jump got it going fine and all speedo ect worked again but would die sporadically then start working again. I was suggested to get a new battery but after buying one yesterday had the same issues and battery is now dead again this morning. Any clues? Much appreciated

I would be looking at the alternator, the voltage regulator might be faulty. Also check the wiring at the alternator.
