Hey guys!

I have a VZ SS THUNDER ute and I'm stuck wiring an aftermarket remote start system.

The drivers door actuator has a plug with 6 wires coming from it and I am not sure if it's a positive or negative trigger?

If anyone can help me would be greatly appreciated :)!

It's negatively switched from the door key lock.
The Light Green with Yellow Trace is the negative wire from the door key lock to the actuator to unlock the door.
This wire (Light Green with Yellow trace), also runs to the BCM (along with a **** load of others), so I'd assume it would also be negatively switched, from the remote (BCM).

The Brown with White trace wire, from the door lock, locks the actuators, but this wire runs directly to the BCM.

Going by my diagram, your accessory will have to be wired to the drivers door.
Because when the door is unlocked, the signal goes to the driver's door first and is then switched across to the other/s.

Thankyou so much !!!!

Can you please show me the diagram ?

My alarm system has a setup for negatively triggered actuators so would I wire it up by that ?

It's not positive and negative is it?

I would say yes.
It looks to me the positive is constant, but it is switched negatively from the door key and the BCM.

This is the best I can show you.
The door lock got a bit cut off.
It's just below the acronym; "BCM"....(above).

Thanks heaps nut cracker that's the best help I have had in ages !

How did you find out the wires were negatively triggered ?

I have the haynes and Gregory manual is the diagrams in there ?

There is 6 wires coming from
My actuator which 2 are lock and unlock ? And how can I test them :)?

No problem.

How did you find out the wires were negatively triggered ?
If you look at the door key switch, the centre wire (Black/Blue), is connected to earth.
When the key is turned, this connection toggles between the other contacts either side.
This is the switch; the switch is connected to earth; so it's earth switched. :)

I found it in the Gregory's.
It's for the VZ sedan, but a VZ is a VZ any which way you slice it. The Ute just has less on it sometimes and
in your case, doors.

Mate, I'm not entirely sure which ones lock and unlock.
The only way you could tell, is with a test light or a multimeter/voltmeter
and prob the wires as you lock/unlock the door.

I'd take the Light green/ yellow trace (unlock) and the Brown/White trace (lock) wires on the door switch as your reference to earth and with your meter/test light connected to them (one ta a time of course),
probe the other plug wires while locking/unlocking the door.
It wouldn't be hard. Just watch your test equipment as you perform the test and note which wire
has voltage when you turn the key either way.
Having said that. It would probably be easier to have a friend turn the lock, while you probe the plug.

Wrong wire mate.
I assume the wire you are describing is the Blue with Black trace? (LB) That comes from/to the BCM.
You need Black wire with a Blue trace (BL)

Everytime I try to wire up the remote start it blows the fuse ? I'm seriously confused how on earth is this central locking activated ? Positively or negatively ...
