VN -> VR distributor

Hi are VN and VR dizzys interchangable ie are the plugs the same? I know the internals are the same but are the connectors???

coil packs you mean????? yeah they are the same in vn and vp but the ones from vr upwards ahve 3 seperate boxes on the same unit....

No sorry I mean on the V8 models I am wondering if the VR and VN dizzy are interchangable. I know they use the same internal parts but are the connector the same.

OK I found out....the early VN series 1 had one type of plug the later model VN,VP,VR,VS has another. The can be identified like this the old plug has 2 locating blocks on opposite sides of the connector. The late model on has 2 locating slots on the same side(firewall side of the plug)
I have a old plug...
