Arrow Help with Wiring Looms for a VK V8

i just bought a VK V8. and the previous owner (i assume) had a DIY crack at installing central locking and what looks to be a tacho. they were all removed when i bought it. BUT i am now left with an absolute mess behind the dash and about a hundred cut wires that go no where.
i was thinking about rewiring the car by getting new harnesses and virtually bring it back to stock.

    Is this possible?

    How many harnesses are there?

Is there anywhere i can buy them?

or should i look for a wreaked VK and get them there? the only worry i had with that idea was that what if one or more wires had been destroyed or disconected leaving me with the task of taking the whole lot out again and starting over( id rather do it right first time)

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

you"d be able to pick up the wiring from a wrecker but the only problem with that is finding a complete one. most of the time we just cut wires to sterios switches and whatever else plus who ever has owned the car befor has most likely done the same thing.
