warning L.E.D

hey guys..... my car alarm has no warning L.E.D, so i put one in the other day.... i installed it near my head unit so i spliced the constant and acc power off it.. problem is now when i take keys out, light start flashing........but so does my head unit

what i would like to know is:

its a motorised face on the deck so every 10 secs when it turn on then off in a split second, is that doing any damage to the head deck?

if so where can i steal some power off near by?

any help would be great!

probably stuff it, take the wires from the rear of the ignition switch.
