Default VP SeriesII stalling and electrical failure

Hi all,

Wondering if you can help me, i am the proud owner of an old VP 3.8L wagon, and tonight driving home all of the electricals failed, starting with the dash dimming out, headlights dying and dash gauges reading lower than they should, then the car sputtered for a second and died. The car starts but stalls shortly afterwards.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,
Oomy.

My hubby has checked the alternator and it is putting out charge. Battery is fine. Stumped!

don't mean to dishearten u but that doesn't sound good. my mate has a 3.8 vp calais, i have an 8 exactly the same. his did that and it was the BCM or body control module behind the dash, water was leaking onto it through holes under the wiper motor. he took most of the dash out and got the hair dryer onto it, it works fine now. a bcm controls alarm and ignition cut off, try havin a look at it, ull b able to see if water is leaking onto it, apparently a common prob
