Hey i recently had the same problem, the brake and dash lights are on the same circuit. My problem was that the tail light globe was shorting.

ok cool wot did u do to fix the problem?
pull out your brake light bulbs. and see if the dash lights work. if they do replace the bulbs one at a time until you find the faulty one
thanks for the advice will try it after work, fingers crossed![]()
ok i took all 3 brake bulbs out and replaced fuses, but still the dash light fuse blew and so did the brake fuse when i stepped on the brake.
is there any other way to check what the problem is or should i just take it to a autoelectrician
May not be but check the wiring harness behind the boot liner on the drivers side near the fuel flap. The wiring may have rubbed through on the sheet metal.
