button below steering wheel?

I have just got a VL calais and it has a black button below the steering wheel column. Cant work out what it does. I think it is stock though as I has orange wires that go into the wiring loom. I don't have an instruction manual.

I used to own a VL calias from new a number of years ago but don’t remember any black button where you describe it. Maybe it’s for the ejector seat option I never bothered to order. Seriously though, I don’t think it’s standard although it’s been a few years since I sold it....

Do you have electric windows? might be the child lock for the windows....or could be for driving lights

All VL Calais have electric windows standard (first top of the range commodore variant to have standard power windows - yes they were still optional on VK Calais).

And yes, it is the kiddy lock button that cuts power to the rear door switches when it is popped out (but the master switch still works all 4).
