VT Acclaim "power light" on dash stays on

Can someone tell me what causes the "power" light to stay on when I start the car even though I have not pushed the "power" button.
It seems to happen every second time I start the car.

No it doesn't.

because the power button in the vt's and upward are not a "Click On/Click Off" button they are computerised on/off i would say that your car is still in power mode and that there is a fault with the button or something electrical causing it to stay on. Would that show up in any fault codes?

Who knows, it could be your button! Fingers crossed as that would be a cheap fix!!

I am going to try and look at the button. I have booked the car into a Holden dealer for the 5/1/05 but hopefully I can fix it before then. Any more ideas will be very much appreciated.
