Swapping VR L2 dash cluster with VS Stato L3 Cluster

Hi everyone, I've got a VR v6 s1 with Level2 dash in it and have just bought a VS Stato level3 dash and I'm hoping I can install this in my car. I have read many similar posts and threads on the subject but I'm wondering if someone can tell me for sure if you can put a VS L3cluster into a VR exec that has a L2 cluster??? I know I will need to make up new patches etc to connect everything up, but basically I just want to know if once everything has been wired up etc will the L3 work in my car without any dramas??? I have read other posts saying they have had all sorts of probs when doing a similar swap and was just wondering if anyone has done the same swap as I'm wanting to do and if so were there any problems or major dramas???
All feedback is most welcome and very much appreciated.... you will hopefully save me some headaches in the near future.....

Yes it will work as long as you modify your dash wiring harness with the patch cable. Vr and Vs dash and parts are the same, Vn Vp are different to the Vr Vs.

Thanx for that, was just worried about putting later model cluster in, read other reports of people having problems with putting newer cluster in that wasn't same model as theirs...
