Center consol light kit

Hi,
I have installed the center consol light kit for the cd compartment, but cannot find where it connects up to, Its in a VY series 1 berlina wagon, the only connector is the one for the 12 volt socket inside the compartment, but thats it, can anyone help me out here.

as far as I know there is no connector on VX.

The wiring kit comes with a plug but I could never find one on my VX. I had to cut the plug off and hard wire it to the mobile phone connector under the panel where the passengers right knee sits when they sit in the car, but you can wire it to anything 12 volt like the cig lighter

Hi, I should clarify, its installed into a series 1 VY berlina wagon

I did the same thing to my vz and I ended up wiring it to a spare brown/white wire in a connector that got 12v when the lights were on figuring if its dark then you would want to have lights in the console

Hi, was that connector the same one that is used for the 12 volt socket in the center compartment?
