vx wiring phone plug

hi can anyone tell me what the 4 wires on the vx comm mobile phone plug are

eg: which is mute, power etc

I know the black is earth (-)and the yellow with the black trace is the radio mute wire for the factory deck

I think orange is constant power 12V+ and the yellow is the ACC 12V+ wire

Not a 100% sure been a while since i have done one...

But pretty sure...

easy way to test is a test light...

Connect it to earth and start prodding.. the only thing you can do is light up the wire... you will find 12V+, ACC and Mute that way as the mute wire is just a earth sense.

Radio mute may have trouble lighting the test light. It only has 4 volts on it IIRC

Yeah but with the radio on just use the test light and the radio should mute.....

Thats from experience.

Radio on, test light grounded, Prod approriate wire or plug end with test light and radio will mute,,,,
