boot light stays on when boot is closed

does any one kno how to fix this problem ?? i didnt realise untill it was to late and the light had drained my battery...

Maybe the switch is dodgy. Have a look on the driverside boot hinge back up where it mounts in the boot, you'll see the switch up there somewhere...maybe push it in and out a few times and spray some wd40 on it to lube it up. That's the only thing I can think of as to why the light would stay on.

Would have to be a faulty switch. Try lubricating it or cleaning it with contact cleaner, as suggested above, or go a new switch. Failing that it is possible the bulb connector is grounding and bypassing the switch. Definatly try the first though, much more likely.

fairly common problem and easy to fix, the metal tab on the light assembly just needs to be bent back into place... try that first because you dont have to stuff around replacing a switch if thats the case.
