Default VY Foglight indicator

I have a VY S Commodore ute fitted with an SS bodykit, including foglights, and the headlight / foglight switch.

Does anyone know how to make the indicator appear on the trip computer when the fog lights are on??

Cheers

As far as I know, there is no fog light indicator in the trip computer.

The only indicator is in the dash cluster, toward the bottom right. It's a foglight symbol lit by an LED from behind.

Thanks for that mate.

I bought the Ute privately, and the guy had the SS kit and foglights fitted by some oufit.

Looks like I will have a bit of fun hunting for the wiring to make the indicator light up - the way it should.

Cheers

it needs an input into the cluster at pin 9 & i think the tell tale needs to be enabled in the programming.

Now I am a little confused!

Is the fog light indicator displayed on the trip computer window, or is it a dash light?

I have looked at my dash cluster and there is definately no indicator light - I can see all the other ones - battery, setabelts etc.
I am not sure if i will have to upgrade the entire cluster or not (to HSV / SS) just to get a fog light indicator.

Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Andy

theres a telltale on the dash as davey said, not sure what you mean by trip computer display, i think you mean the multi function display (MFD) in the centre of the dash, theres nothing in this i dont think?

Na, there's nothing in the MFD, just the LED dash light.

Exclamation your answers all explained

I have just sold my police issue sv6 vy 2003. But before i did i pulled the whole dash apart because i had it recoated black (instead of the gray colour).
i had to take the dash cluster out because there was a grey plastic bit in there too.

When i did i noticed that the fog lamp led was working but you could not see it becuase it is covered behind the dash insert -a piece of plastic which has the ss or sv8 logo and all the speed numbers printed on it.ie 0-240kph and rev's etc.

i'm guessing that the ss version of the dash insert doen't cover up the led for the fog lamps so you see it.
