hi all, I really need some help with my 92 VP Calais, for a while now every 60 odd seconds there's a beeping from the cluster which is the sound of either the handbrake being on or the car overheating, neither of these are actually happening, the car isn't hot and the handbrake is off. I'm really stumped as to what it could be. any help or suggestions would be muchly appreciated as its really annoying.
thanks heaps slipstream

its three short beeps, which is the chime for overtemp or handbrake on
do you get any warning lights come on at all?
If your not getting any overheating codes from the ECU (faulty temp sensor) then it most likely be the handbrake circuit.
You may need to pull the cluster out and check the wires/circuits with one of those multi meter thingos.
Dose the handbrake light stay on (drive off with it on the first click) and the cluster chime away?
I'd pull the chime out. I have a spare chime sitting on my bench in the shed. (yep unwanted chimes every time I drove the car)

hey mate,
i had the same thing happen in my car,
every time i took off or got past 40 it would beep,
i had a broken handbrake light globe,
i suggest you check all your globes first
i replaced my handbrake light and it was fixed.
good luck
