Hi guys. Nice site!Anyway, my fiance's VN Executive has problems with lighting. The tail lights are off when they should be on with the headlights, along with the instrument cluster lights and dash lights. I have checked the fuses, yet all are OK. We were done by the cops for the lights being out, so it's a pretty urgent thing. I can't afford to waste the money on three months of lost rego when the defect gets enforced.

If the brake lights and everything else work it might be a loose connection or no connection on the headlights switch that turns on the dash lights etc.
When you turn the headlights on are the parker globes in the headlights working?

I have located the problem. After pulling all the fuses, i found two incorrectly rated fuses which were blown. After replacing the fuses, I went into the boot and found both lower tail lights had water up to the bulb in them. This was in turn corroding and rusting the bulb contacts, meaning it needed more power to light the bulb and bridge the gap. Thus the fuses blew. I have rectified this and it's all normal. Dash lights, parkers, etc all work. Thanks for the help anyway.
I love this site. I might stick around yet.
