Questing about ohm differences
Ok if i had fuel injectors that wer 14.5 ohm and installed them in my car which is normally 12-12.5 ohm. What would be the outcome?

lower injector operating voltage.... ohms is resistance, resistance affects current, less current = less voltage

less voltage means slower pintle opening and closing basically

Is there a easy/cheap way to up the ohm produced?

not really... why do you want to run more resistance?

Well i need larger injectors and i have 2 options i can import a set for 270 aussie (12 ohm) , or buy a set of 42lb'ers off a bloke in oz but these are 14.5 ohm.

i thought that was how the size difference was measured? in the resistance of the windings inside the coils aswell as the size of the opening...

What you think that the ohm increase with larger injectors? (i have no idea how it works hence silly question)

Not quite. Less current = less power, the voltage at the injectors will stay the same(actually rise marginally due to less voltage drop along the wiring due to less current)
Whether the 14ohm injectors actually perform properly in the car, depends on their design. They may perform exactly the same as the lower resistance ones.

commsirac is right, voltage stays the same. I think the gregorys specifiys the resistance as 12-15 ohms? I can double check but Id say it is ok. If it is working dont worry about it.

ohms law states: V = I x R
therefore: I = V / R (note, current flowing thruough the injectors is what activates them.)
For standard 12.5 Ohms
I = V / R
= 12 / 12.5
= 0.96 Amps <--- required to fire injector
For 14.5 Ohms
I = V / R
= 12 / 14.5
= 0.83 Amps
you do the math? (is it within limits?)
