i know there was a thread on this before, and 1 member was going to or had purchased a VT switch, but never heard from them..

the VT switch is larger than the VS switch, so the hole must be modified to fit it. as far as the plug compatibility, im not 100% sure. this is one mod i will try in the next coming weeks as im ready to install my fog lights. i have a spare dash surround at home that im modifying to fit the fog light switch, and will be purchasing a VT switch soon.

if it all goes to plan, if i get it working, i will do a write up for the how-to section.

do you have a vt switch block or just inquiring at this stage?

It lets my vs caprice dash down so much no having an illuminated headlight switch lol

Well just went to the wreckers and got the switch and another instrument cluster surround for $35 but better than the original price that he wanted to charge me of $45!! (im working on fitting some guages as well thats why i bought the extra surround as my original is damaged) I will take some pics throughout this endevour and see how it goes! One problem that i have encountered already is that on the vs head light switch the part that turns the interior light on also turns the brightness of the dash up or down aswell but on the vt one that i have it only has a fixed position either on or off so might have to put in an alternate switch for the dash light brightness, will see how it goes!

Well its been one mission after another so far!
First my camera has no batteries, but stress not some are on the way!!
2nd all 3 bulbs in the vt switch are blown and after going to repco/autobarn and an auto electrical wholesaler they couldnt supply me with any replacement bulbs but as a last resort im going to go to jaycar and if theres nothing there then i will replace the original bulbs with led lights! Also ive had to mangle the old vs switch to find out how its wired up inside as even though the vs and vt light switches have the same plug for the back not all the functions work without some modding! but by the time im finished i will do a thread up on how to sort this mod out once and for all!!!!
