Default PCM loom repairs

Hey guys i've just repaired an engine loom that had been involved in a front on crash and had several cuts and damage throughout. Just a couple of questions about my work...
I've had to solder in many small sections of new wire (mostly only an inch long) in various places - Provided that I've put in heavier wire than was previously there, will I have any problems? I've used 15amp wire for the repairs and while this is thick and i'm confident it wont burn out, i'm curious as to whether it will effect the signals being sent from various sensors to the PCM???

Will it slightly affect voltages/currents of the sensors and cause the engine tune to be out of whack? Have I made a big mistake?

The only problem will be if you have poor quality solder joints or poor insulation that will eventually short out. As long as you are happy with the solder joints, and are sure that the wires arent going to touch, there is no reason that it wont work as good as new.

Thanks kopper, I was hoping for that response. I tried to solder the joins as solid as possible - it's been a while and my iron is a little dodgy. But I pulled on all joins by hand and all felt pretty strong.
As for insulation, all joins have been attacked with the heat shrink, re-taped and new plastic cover thingys over the top.
I just hope that I haven't missed any carnage. There was a lot of damage and I undid every inch of the loom bit by bit

The other thing that concerns me is the condition of the PCM itself. If the crash has cut into the loom and shorted out a heap of various wires while the car is running then should I expect the PCM to be burnt out? I have opened her up (just looked through the memcal access plate) and she looks very clean inside so I'm hoping its fine

Sounds like you are checking things over, for that. There is no way of knowing if the PCM is working or not, just have to keep those fingers crossed. Visual inspection is a great first step, as you have already done. Depends what voltages were put where when the crash happened. Hopefully the fuses have all done their job. Just going to have to give it a go.
