Default VL fusebox problem

somebody help me. my VL keeps melting fuses. not popping them so i have to replace them. they melt onto the fusebox, so i have to get them off with a chisel! when i (actually my dad) bought the car, there was one that was already melted, but as time goes on, its has melted more and more. As well as this, more fuses have begun to melt for no reason.

Is this a common problem with this car?

i have another fuse box to go in, but im just wanting to know if there is anything i can do to make sure it will stop the now one going down the same path before i can put it in. any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks guys

yes, its a common problem,

I believe the solution is to replace the entire fuse holder rail with a non commodore item.

you could try searching...

Common problem just replace them with individual ceramic type in line fuses works a treat.

What is causing the heat? Power loss across a connection
What is causing the power loss? Bad connection.

So its going to be the wire to the fuse holder tab or fuse holder tab to fuse. If youre handy with a soldering iron you can probably fix, otherwise I would suggest what the guys above have been saying.
