Question Cluster Bulb Factory Green Sleeve

Hi all.

Just wondering what would happen if I removed the green plastic sleeves on all of the illumination bulbs behind my dash?

Would the bulbs blow?
Would It look any different?

And I know you can buy globe sleeves though I havent found anyone who sells them

Any help would be appreciated

I would imagine your illumination would go from green to white or yellow kinda. I think with the VTs the bulbs are covered with actual green plastic so might not be doable.

ty for that.

Ive had one of them out before and the green sleeve does come off, its just like a rubber coat over the globe,

I might save myself from any damage it may cause and get some blue led's, Just dont want to buy them if they dont make it brighter.... the standard are too dull even with the dimmer turned off

If going with leds make sure you get something with a wide viewing angle. If you get something that doesnt spread the light you will have bright patches. Remember that resistor too if you didnt know already.
