heater issues (wont turn off!)

Hi all i have a vr v8 and when i switched the car off today the heater didnt turn off even with ignition completely off so now it goes all the time full bore i pulled the climate controll panel off and unpluged it made no difference, i looked for any bare wire etc nothing? the only way to stop it is to pull the main fuse out in the engine bay, so wondering if any one would know what would cause this as its really got me stumped

Sounds like there is a relay stuck on.

Problem is the fan amplifier. Very common problem. About $150 for a new one from holden. Otherwise if you are handy with a soldering iron, or know someone who is you can pull the fan amplifier apart and replace the faulty part for under $10. Otherwise you can take a chance with a 2nd hand one from wreckers. Have a search for fan amplifier and you should find heaps of info.
