I've moved this thread into the Electrical section - it had been posted in the ASR sponsor's forum...

Best of luck with your solution. Cheerz!

I can't remember if the VT is positive or negative switched. The diagram below shows a positive switched vehicle. If it is negative switched, then connect pin 85 to the positive and do not connect pin 30 at all.

I had a "professional" connect my son's spotties, and now every time he goes to high beam, the lighting fuse blows, and the spotties are on even when the headlights are turned off. I removed the relay that was installed, and now there is no high beam at all. I want to get the whole thing back to standard and start again. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the headlight circuit?
Thanks in advance..
Steve..

The lights should be wired through a relay so that with the aid of an independent on/off switch in the cabin the high beam can be activated so that they operate without the driving lights or with the driving lights. Any other way will incur a defect as it is illegal. Just make sure that the driving lights are NOT powered from the high beam wiring but directly from the battery - fused of course.

Benboy,
are you saying that Hi beam must be on to have the "extra lights" on but you must be able to turn them off and still leave the H/B on?
That makes sense to me, but aren't the originals able to be turned on even with all other lights off, including high beam?
Regards
Keith.

The originals are fog lights, they come on with the parkers. Driving lights can only come on with hi beam and then they have to be switched so you can turn them off and leave the hi beam on. They aren't allowed to be turned on with parkers or low beam.

I'm putting the genuine fog lights on an Omega and would like to know if the loom already has the wiring in it.
All the bits are available including the loom with the two fog lamp plugs and another multi pin plug (or socket) that is located about 200 to 300 mm from the lamp connectors.
If not wired in, does anyone have a wiring diagram of the light switch and I can run my own wiring back to the switch (that includes the fog light pull switch).
Thanks
Regards Keith.
