I am just trying to see if anyone has installed HID's into Altezza headlights before as I am having majors headaches installing them and I am considering spending $170 for a pro to do it...
What's the problem?
Basically the HID has a connection for power & earth (I am assuming) but the actual headlight only has the connection for the power, so we earthed the other wire but we only got a flickering of light when we switched off the light switch.
Would this indicate that we have the wiring the wrong way around?
Can someone who has done this before please help?

Cheers WAGON MAN, funny how those names have very little affiliation with what I want on the surface but are full of GOLD!
VT headlights aligning
Basically it seems as if you just jam both wires into the original globe holder!... Now just gotta see if it works!
Cheers for SpitFire for the image!
think the picture explains everything.
if the lights flicker and don't actually start up then you might need a wiring kit. If that still doesn't work then you've got a faulty ballast
you don't need to cut anything. the red wire unplugs and you pretty much plug in the hid kit
The picture's out of focus but hope that helps.
Personally i wouldn't use a hid kit with the altezza's. Been there done that. The beam is very narrow and the cut off is completely wrong. You'll be blinding people everywhere and getting flashed. If you "NEED" HID's then do it properly, retrofit it.
