    Default 4L60-E Auto Pressure Switch

Having trouble finding a wiring diagram that shows the pressure switch that brings on the 'Check Power Train' light. It would be good to be able to check the switch at the 'box' disconnect, (to eliminate wiring fault), before I go out and buy a new switch. Any help would be much appreciated.

    there is no such animal???
you need to find out what trouble codes are in the system to help diagnose the fault

Call into one of the performance shops that have either EFILive or Hptuners to read and diagonse the problem. Or you can try holden to check on Tech2.

Found a link from another site that contains GM Engine and Transmission Diagnostic Parameters for most GM engines...

The diagnosis was done by Sunco Motors in Qld. and logged as HI VOLTAGE IN OIL PRESSURE SWITCH. Codes cleared, requires switch replaced. Also the Gregories manual has a code P1810 on page 193 for Transmission pressure switch assembly malfuntion.

Thanks vxchev. Found the info and it does list the P1810 fault but this doesn't get me any closer to checking the wiring. As it turns out though it's unlikely to be a wiring problem because it would have had to pick up the hi voltage by shorting across to a 12V supply, and even though it's not unheard of, its pretty unlikely. So I'll cross the fingers and change the switch and hope the light stays off.

Very easy. About as difficult as performing a normal auto service ie. pan off, unbolt switch, disconnect wiring, reverse procedure to reinstall.
