That's where your multimeter/test light comes in and/or have a look on the as if you was replacing a globe.. Silver plater anyone. Would've been nice if you said thanks first that's all.

Heres the taillight wiring colours for a VR/VS sedan..
R/H turn signal = Blue wire.
Taillights = Brown wire.
Brake lights = Blue/red wire.
Reverse light = Light Green.
L/H turn signal = Light Blue.
