Default recommended pulley upgrade

Looking at 10psi Pulley Upgrade for my Factory Supercharged V6 (VS Calais) is it worth getting the pulley upgrade ?

Increasing the boost is the easiest, quickest and best way to greatly improve power output, torque and acceleration, without sacrificing drivability and fuel economy. From 6psi (factory standard) Boost Pulley's are available in to Increase Boost to 10psi Safely and can be installed without having to remove the supercharger!

Without a doubt, this will give you a greater power and torque increase per dollar than any other modification!

This takes your engine from the standard 171kW to over 200kW straight out of the box if you have upgraded your exhaust system as well !!

More info can be found here:

Hope this helps.

Howdy..
What exactly is the process to fit the 10psi pulley? I've had a bit of a poke through your site and basically all it says is the standard pulley is a b*tch to get off... like is this something I could do myself or a local mechanic? Or would I be better off going to see someone with more experience with the L67 (probably noone in Adelaide).

Also I assume that the 10psi pulley in no way reduces the life of the engine? Just that i'd be better off running 98RON rather than 95RON.

Cheers,
Matt

The factory pulley is very difficult to get of without the right tooling.

We have a special tool which we loan out with the 10psi Upgrade Kit which makes it a simple process taking around 30-40mins.

You can DIY with general home handyman tools or have your local mechanic perform it for you,

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Looks like rockers might be the go though for a first upgrade.. little more pricey but just as much increase and no need for 98RON

Now.. the car... hehe.. I do need to buy that I suppose.
