V6 Vengance

Hey I was just wondering how much It cost to build the V6 Vengance car in Street Commodore. I was looking into doing the same thing to my car one day but only wanted to hit mid to high 12s down the quarter what sort of work is involved to do? What diff and tranny is recommended for the job?, Should I use an intercooler? All of these sort of things are what i would like to know if anyone can help me. Also what sort of work has to be done to my standard 3.8l V6(300,000ks) to suit a turbo?

It will all depend on how much of the work you will do yourself because labour costs a lot if you pay someone else to do it and you will need tools etc.

The parts will vary a lot in costs depending on whether you buy them new or second hand from E-Bay or trading post etc.

What one fella can do for $5,000 might cost another $15,000.

I don't think vengence was running anything too special, it just had stronger pistons, ACL I think?. he did buy stronger arp bolts but ended up forgetting to put them in .

Not sure on the gear box but he manual shifts the auto with some kinda b&m shifter or something so it might be a tricked up t700 or maybe a t350. You'll need a T4 turbo .60 on the inlet, .60-.80 on the exhaust, bigger injectors, more pressure from the fuel pump and make up some exhaust manifolds and piping oh and a waste gate : ). Vengence ran 12's without an intercooler or much tuning and 11's with one.

If you rebuild a v6 with good parts and strong pistons it should run 10 or 12 pounds of boost without exploding and that will get your 12 second 1/4

It would cost around $20k to build a Turbo VN V6 with everything completed ready to run 11's and reel off 300+rwhp on a Daily Basis.
