well to be honest you are most prob better just buying a s/c motor and comp from wreckers around 3500 and putting in its your cheepest option any other way you will will find yourself forever buying and changing stuff and wondering to yourself (why)

I think I have seen this question before and I think the answer was about $10,000 to turbocharge a V6 after you rebuild it with forged pistons, shotpeened rods, O-ringed block then added bigger injectors and fuel pump new computer and the turbo things add up very fast! But the cheapest way to get into the boosted V6 scene by far is the L67 supercharged V6 that you can find at a local wreckers if your patient. you will need the ECU and wiring harness too. It's not hard to just swap the whole motor in your car only a bit of work involved with electrical connections hoses and about 14 bolts I think plus take the bonnet off, again it is not as hard as it sounds

Hello Pauly2478,

There are a number of options to boosting up your V6:

Whilst we do recommend Supercharging we do not actually sell aftermarket bolt-on superchargers as the market is already well catered for.

We recommend enquiring to the following aftermarket supercharger retailers:

- CAPA Performance www.capa.com.au from around $6k
- CRS (Castlemaine Rod Shop) www.rodshop.com.au from around $2k

You may find if you are not overly attached to your current ride, you may be strategically better off trading in your current car on a supercharged version. Sometimes the change over difference may be less than going through the hassle and expense of supercharging your existing engine.

Check out the following link for more details:
http://www.v6supercharged.com.au/faq.asp#15

With regards to locating and purchasing a S/H Supercharged V6 we would recommend the following:

- Check out your local wreckers
- Check out the "Damaged Vehicles Auction" houses
- Check the Wrecking Section of your local paper

There is also a Magazine called "Parts Peddler" or "Just Parts" and it usually has loads of listings for supercharged v6 engines all around the country. They are becoming more popular and available now.

As hinterland and blofly mentioned finding a wrecked Super6 vehicle with all the necessary bits may sometimes be the better solution than trying to supercharge your N/A motor as it is already setup for boost from the factory.

Turbocharging in general done correctly will cost upwards of $10k

Hope this information helps.

Regards

Tonsta
