Default supercharger theory / question.

Hi, just wondering on anyone elses point of view. Would there be a problem if you fitted a s/c designed for a 5.7lt to a v6 and just geared it down to do less revs? I understand you cant go from smaller to bigger due to over revving the s/c. But going from bigger to smaller, just want to know if there is other probs that would arise from what i have in mind. thanks guys.

Yes, would actually be even better than the M90 as it wouldn't need to work as hard and turning it slower will beat up the air less and create less heat.

In general, ceteris paribus, if you used a bigger blower rather than a smaller blower you will creat more power, more easily, due to the less effort required to supply the required amount of CFM and Boost to generate the power at a lower discharge temperature.

Larger Blower are generally the M112 variety.

Smaller Blowers are M62

Correct Size is M90

Hope this helps.

Regards

Tonsta
