Default A HAPPY FIT customer

First up I will say this, I have absolutely ZERO patience to be a motor mechanic, glad I'm not. Anyway I wish to post my thoughts on the Type S CAI on an N/A Ecotec V6. Rang up Tonsta last Thursday seeking the CAI and heat shield received them on Monday, quick and professional I must say, Tony was a great help over the phone I appreciated the thermostat too . So I open up my goodies and think bloody hell this is suppose to be simple, after reading thru the instructions it turned out to be, the instructions where for the super six but it's basically the same, only deviation was the small section of pipe from the TB to the MAF, differs on the super6 the rest was straight forward, my patience lasted all but 2secs but the gains to be had and the small price to pay was worth the cuts and tantrums. Initial response was "holy ****" throttle response was instant, the revs came on strong and clean and the kickdowns were crisper and put me back in the seat unlike before. I'm not after huge gains with mega dollars I had that with my old ute, I wanted to look after the cooling side of things(CAI/heat shield/ thermostat/filter) and with our climate we need too. There are gains to be had on the N/A Ecotec with this simple cheap and very effective mod, not just for the super6's.

Thanks Tony for your professional and speedy service

P.S. The mirror heatshield looks fantastic.

Cheers
Ryan
