Default Which Calais?

Hi guys after looking into doing a few engine mods on the old vt berlina i came across FIT i am looking for a new supercharged car now and was wondering if there is anyhing i should look out for?
I am planning on getting either a VX series 1 or 2 or a VY series 1 calais are there any differences between them after all the FIT mods have been done or are they all the same?
Will all these mods in any way affect the driveability of the car as i only drive it on the weekends and it's the misses run around car with the kids during the week
Thanx.

Get a VS Calais !...they're heaps lighter than the VT-X-Y if you want to go seriously fast!
And you'll get better fuel economy from not hauling the extra weight aswell !

I haven't driven a VX or VY but the VT's onwards do have a little bit more leg room than the VS. I picked up my VS Calais in February for $10,500 with only 99,990km on the odometer and has been great. If you wanna do mods try find something with lowest k's possible, and don't jump at the first one you see. Most VS L67 calais' I've seen have about 180,000k's on them and sellers are asking to $15,000. In that case you might be better off with a VX. I think the L67 was also offered in the S and Berlina in the VX. If you're in a capital city go have a look at Pickles Auctions or check out their website for a weekly listing.
Cheers.

VT is a heavy slug... if you must, go for a VX or VY, much lighter.

My vote is for the VS as well but you have already stated you are not interested. All mods are the same VT-VY (as VS, except Type-S CAI) except as you said the rockers on the VY2.

L67 is a lovely thing, enjoy

$20k sounds good... but check out the usual online car sites to get a guide... VXII also had all the camber issues worked out that plagues VT-VXI
