Turbo V.6 setup
Hi every one i have just lost my licence (stupid me) any way now i got some time on my hands to get my car up to scratch. my plans for my beast are to turbo it. i wanna know what i MUST change for it to work and what would be better but not neccery to change. i got the turbo and intercooler given to me thats the only reason why im chosein to turbo it. also what psi can a stock motor take
heres what ive got so far:
a vr commo with a 3.8ltr
2 1/2 exhaust
9mm leads and high powerd coils
turbo which aint on car
and a wrx front mount intercooler
this is a project thats got 6months to complete

u need to drop compression, get a turbo manifold, plumbing for cooler, wastegate, bov, u can only run 8psi or there bputs safely, not to sure bout the rest but there is a start for u.
dnt let anyone change ur mind if u want it turboed turbo it

No need to touch the engine, you can adjust the spark to suit the stock compression easy as. You need. Pipes, 6-12ish(depends what boost you want) psi wastegate, turbo, bigger injectors, 2 bar sensor, remaped vr tune to suit 2 bar, The hardest thing will be for you to learn enough about the tuning before it comes time to start the car, making the pipes might take you awhile too. Anyway get it done and it should run easy 13's straight up
P.S just looking at the turbo you have in google images, it looks way to small for the V6 I think it's from a 1.8 liter VW?

I agree, turbo looks too small.
To run it off 3 cylinders you would need 2 turbos. (1 for each side)
So one turbo runs of the left side and another runs off the right.
The two turbos will need to be the same, so you could get another the same but imo the best idea would be to sell it and get something like a garrett 30/40 (or similar)

(find a cheaper one obviously)

Not the best idea. Get some bends of steam pipe and ceate your own. (if your any good at that stuff) Less work involved with the steam pipe and cast steel (exhaust manifolds) is very, very hard to weld.
