Hey Fella's,

We thought we would post up a quick thread to deal with the number of enquiries we are receiving regarding the performance and recommendations of FIT 1.97 HYBrid Extreme Rockers.

As many of you know FIT FIT 1.97 HYBrid Extreme Rockers are being recommended to you by everyone now due to them being a Well Known and Proven Performance Upgrade both on the 1/4 Mile track and on the dyno.

We have heard many owners feedback saying:

The FIT 1.97 HYBrid Extreme Rockers are Easily the "Best Upgrade I have Ever Done" - Hands Down !!

... and it's not suprising why when you look at the following proof and results ...

Here is a Dyno Result has just come in from Tim at Raptor www.raptorsc.com.au

We supplied a set for their VY SII Ecotec Project Car

It was tested as stock with 114.6rwkw

After Installation of:
- FIT 1.97HYB
- 1 5/8 HM Extractors
- HSV Exhaust

It recorded 134.8rwkw

- No Intake Mods
- No tuning

That's a 20.2rwkw (30rwhp) Gain !!

Look how INSANE the power production is all through the rev range and especially after 4,000rpm

Look How it makes Power all the way to Redline !!

Look how strong it is in the Top End

This is all with STOCK VALVE SPRINGS

There is absolutely no evidence of valve float with FIT 1.97's on stock springs !!

Here's the 1.99's on the FIT Calais and WOW !!

That's 11rwhp over and above the FIT 1.9's

That is the FIT Calais already had 1.9's !!

With Stock Rockers we pulled only 263rwhp

After FIT 1.99's we pulled 283rwhp !!

This means around 22rwhp Gain over stock rockers on a Highly Modified Super6 !!

We were asked the following question in another JC Thread:

Quote:

The 1.9's are Awesome

The 1.97's are Incredible

The 1.9's deliver approximatley 10-20kW Power Gain and 20-30Nm Torque Gain

The 1.97's deliver approximatley 15-25kW Power Gain and 20-35Nm Torque Gain

That's as much as most Mild Cams !!

The 1.97 Ratio translates to .510" Max Lift to the Valve.

The Valvespring is capable of .560" before coilbind so there is heaps of headroom.

The 1.97's are easily the best Rocker we have ever produced

We have been making 1.9 rockers for 6 years now and running them on stock valvesprings and never had any reports or instances of them binding or breaking.

So are they an Overkill ? ... No they are purely and simply the max amount of safe lift we are currently prepared to release to the public. If you want the max performance these are the highest power producing rockers currently available on the V6 market.

The Higher the Ratio the more Valve Lift and the Greater the Resultant Power

Higer Ratio = More Valve Lift = Greater Power

The 1.99's and 2.02's we have in our development vehicles may be considered the borderline of Overkill and we are not retailing these until we have done extensive 1-2year durability testing.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Tonsta

We have plenty more dyno graphs which we will be posting from time to time.

We can easily say FIT 1.97HYBrid Extreme Rockers for $895 are ...

"One of the best and truely remarkable upgrades for an Ecotec or Supercharged V6"

Best of all they are True DIY and work on Stock Valve Springs.

Best Regards

Thanks to Tim at Raptor Superchargers who recorded and posted the following video link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R40Vs7I-Q4

That is Uber Cool

You can really see the 1.97's hit the 1st Powerband at 3,000rpm

Then Hits a 2nd and more Aggressive Powerband at 4,000rpm

... and revs Strong all the way to Redline !!

Check out how quickly it races through 1st gear, it's over instantly !!

Looks like 1st-2nd gear is a bit dragged out due to stock auto trans and remaining wheelspin trying to catch up with the road speed.

You can see how quickly it shoots to 100km/h and then 120km/h it really has quite a PowerBand when it hits 4,000-6,000rpm

Approximately 6.75sec to 100km/h - Awesome

Regards

Tonsta

On a stock engine without a tune, how does it affect the engines Fuel/Air ratio?

It operated fine, the MAF tells the computer more air is being ingested and the computer increases the pulse width time to the injectors to deliver more fuel.

FIT 1.9's and 1.97's will operate perfectly fine on stock tune with good fuel.

Well considerring the 1.90:1 are $849, I'd guess the 1.97's wouldn't be much more if any.

Sorry sexy vn chick lover, we thought we had put the price in at the start of the thread, but looking back we actually hadn't, so appologies about that.

The 1.97's are $895 which is only $50 more than the 1.90's so they are well priced

Hope this helps.

Best Regards
