Default Some FIT Exhaust Questions

Hey,

Spent the day cruising around with the FIT 3" exhaust, it sounds pretty damn good and is a lot louder than I expected, but this is fine. Just wondering if the exhaust note changes over time? Does it take a while for the exhaust to settle in? If my car is tuned for use with the 3" will the note change? (it isnt tuned at the moment)

Also I'm just curious as to what other mods the car in the 4th exhaust video (MOV01629.avi) has on your website? (the one with the exhaust pointing almost right at the camera). It sounds bloody awesome!

Thanks

Pete

Gday Pete,

There is a bit of a settling in period as your ECU learns & adjusts to the new flow & the carbon builds up in the exhaust . The note wont change all that much.

You say it isn't tuned at the moment but depending on your other mods that may not be an issue as the factory ECU will adjust to the 3" itself. Note will not be affected.

Cheers

Heya Pete,

As Dave mentioned the exhaust does "carbon up" and settle in with more use. We usually find after 2-3weeks the exhaust will quieten down a bit and the sound will also Deepen.

If after a month you are still thinking you would like it a tad quieter then we have the quieter resonator option which is a real hit with those that prefer the sound just that little bit quieter.

We are running the Quieter Rear Resonator on the FIT Calais due to the Hi-Flow Cats making so much noise with the standard issue resonator. The Quiter Resonator makes it just perfect enough sound to let people know there's something serious going on under the hood, but quiet enough inside the cab to make it pleasant on cruise.

The car in the 4th exhaust video does sound awesome and at the time had 10psi Boost, Type-S CAI and Extractors. He now also has 1.97 Rockers which makes it sound even more incredible

Hope this helps.

Regards

Tonsta
