FIT 1.9:1 Rockers
Let me be first to endorse a FIT product on this part of the forum
Threw a set on the V6 VS the other day and was real impressed. Top product and it certainly felt like the claimed 10Kw benefit was there. Pricey but good!

threw on as in
1. take ur rocker covers off (10 bolts) to reveal 12 roller rockers, 6 either side (2 per cylinder)
2. take the bolt out of each with a socket.
3. remove rockers, and guide plate, it will just be sitting there.
4. grease up new rockers
5. place new guide plate back in and place new rockers in
6. bolt on the rockers
7. replace rocker cover and screw back in
estimated time, 1-2 hours including cleaning up and spending 30 min trying to find your socket set... easy peezy

Rockers are $795 a set. and no I don't see why they would put any strain on any other part of the engine.
Cheers

lol nice one
the only thing they would strain would be themselves because thats what they are built for....to get the maximum input/output for your engine

When you buy them they should come with new rocker bolts as well as some moly grease. On the passengers side it's easier to remove the air inlet tract for getting at the rocker cover.

The FIT 1.9 Rockers are widely regarded as the:
"No:1 Best Modification you can do to your Ecotec V6"
They make such a difference to Throttle Response, Acceleration, Power, Torque and driving excitement. They can be installed to a Stock Ecotec V6 or complimented with Extractors, Exhaust and CAI to give even greater results.
We have the full information available here:
http://www.v6supercharged.com.au/rocker.asp
Hope this helps.

Cool as chevy_big_block_bro,
The FIT 1.9's have been out of stock for 2 weeks now due to this Months Special taking $100 Off Sale (making them $795)
We anticipate new stocks to arrive mid to late this week, so whenever you are ready we'll get some organised for you.
Regards
Tonsta

What truth is there in the fact of increasing lift in this manner causing above average valve guide wear? I have heard this could be so .............
And while you are at it why are the FIT rockers not compatible with VY??

Valvetrain load, stress and valve guide wear with high ratio rockers are no different to installing a cam with stock rockers, they will be very similar or equivalent rates of wear.
Although there would be some element of increased wear or loading there has never been any reported significant increased wear by any high ratio rocker customer in the 5 years we have been supplying them.
Our FIT 1.9 Rockers are not suitable for the VY Series II Ecotec or Supercharged V6's as Holden have changed something in the valvetrain which subsequently makes the rockers make a "ticking" sound after install.
We feel Holden possibly ran out of one of the valvetrain components, maybe valve springs, retainers, valves, lifters, collets ... etc. we don't realy know which, and because they were finishing up production of the Ecotec and Super6's in favour of the upcoming Alloytech, they probably figured doing another production run of 100,000 items of valve, spring, collets, or whatever, probably wasn't feasible as they wouldn't require that many ... just ended up substituting a component from another type or series of engine in it's place.
Whilst this substitution hasn't seemed to affect the regular factory stock rocker operation, the extra lift translated from our FIT 1.9 Rockers creates some anomaly that results in the "ticking" sound experience in 2 of our customer cars.
We returned the the stock rockers and the ticking sound was gone ... so we are baffled as to which of the valvetrain items is causing it. We will probably figure it out over time, but at present we are stumped !!
We have been producing these rockers for 5 years straight and never ever had an issue. With all the engines from VS, VT, VX and VY Series I they have worked perfectly, it's only the Series II that seems to be affected.
Hopefully we will work out a solution in time, but for now we advise they are not available.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Tonsta

this might be a noob question, but what's the go fitting high ratio rockers to a NA VP V6? the site seems to only mention SC 6's or Ecotecs.
