Rust Proofing - needed?

Hi all,

Am moving from the bush to Newcastle in the next few weeks. My house is about 15kms from the ocean, however my place of work is right in the Newcastle cbd (only a stones throw from the water).

Having purchased and driven my vx clubby in the bush, I have never thought about rust proofing (other than when I first brought her, and the salesman was trying to milk me for every cent I had).

My question is, will I need rust proofing?
If so, I have seen two separate ideas - oil spray and electronic controlled.
What would I be looking at for my car to be rust proofed? ($$)

I am looking for some ammo before I rock into a centre to get my car done (if needed) and want to hold onto as much of my money as possible.

I used to spray rust and sound proof, I still fit e/rust and i can tell you dont even was your time.
