Question How to get diff centre out of IRS housing?

    Hey guys,

With an IRS diff, i want to change the gears in it, on a live axel diff, inside the inspection cover you can clearly see 4 bolts holding down the bearings and the diff center, which is easy to take out and replace.

    See the pic

On an IRS diff.... it does not have these bolts/bearing caps.
Anyone have any clues as to how to disassemble the diff?

    Cheers
    Geoff

Mate its easier on the IRS diff!
You just pull the hubs outa the side, yank on them and they come out, then make a tool to spin the adjuster things out (they are threaded just the same as the crank adjusters on a push bike, exactly like that)

Yeah just sloted in with splines and a little like spring clipy thing to hold them in there I think, you just yank them straight out

Only the bearing on the gear, the rest were allready new when I got it. But I changed gears so I changed that one, I got that bearing a little bit hot while installing it maybe but it hasn't fallen apart yet
