I had to remove the pulley of my VS alternator ,had a prick of a time trying to undo the nut ,but in the end I found this tool for $30 at a tool shop ,it is for putting scafolding together and has A 24mm & 19mm socket with acess for a allen key for the shaft and allows you to remove the pulley on the car ,it works so well its like its designed for the job
nice score, what was the tool shop called? was it one of the big ones like total tools?
The shop is called "Trade Tools Direct" but all of the others Big Tool shops should have it ,but I cant remember What the proper name of the tool is![]()
a rattle gun and 15"16 socket is good for getting the nut off aswell, or remove the 4 bolts holding the alternator together and put the rotor in a vice then use a socket and breaker bar. also helps when your an auto elec apprentice and do them every week lol.
ratchetting podging spanner :P good for leaving under the drivers seat also
