5W-30 edge sports
Hey guys just bought a VY II SS last week and I want to change the oil.
The standard is 10w-30 but I was wondering if the fully synthetic 5w-30 edge sports stuff is any good. Would this oil be better than say GTX modern engine 10w-30?
Its a 5.7L.

There are heaps of threads regarding people's opinion on oil for your type of engine. I would do a quick search and you will find the threads where people have already commented on oil preference etc. Heaps of helpful info on this site.....its great to be a part of it
I have searched and found a few arguements about oil, can anyone point to an informative thread on the subject.(yes i read the thread in the other section)

From what I've read the main thing with the LS series engines is to use synthetic oil and not mineral oil, don't know why but do know that the top of the heads on my engine are so clean running only on synthetic oil.
Currently running 10w/30 Mobil1 synthetic.
The car has 5W-30 edge sports at the moment and it runs well. Castrol site recommends 5W-30 edge or 10W-40 magnatec. Would has anyone used both of these and noticed one was better?
