G'day guys. Have been told that fitting the fuel injectors from a (V6) TE series Magna (or similar) is a good way to improve the fuel delivery to the VN-VP series motor. These have a higher flow rate (apparently) and are a simple installation. Apparently a similar injector was used in the VN GRP A SS.
Economy is not a problem as the car is used on the race track. Has anyone else done this or have a similar idea? Am new to this forum and would love to hear your comments.![]()
There the blue 775 and cream 706 injectors in the Magnas they were used in the 5.7 litre Holden V8 and the Group A, but there's no advantage to running them in a speedway V6, since you will be running too rich and end up slower
i got a question, will the v6 magna injectors fit into the 3.8 vs v6? and is there any real gain from doing so?
why? and probably not. but dunno.
Yes that will work but then you are jsut back to where you started, You can't make a standard motor need the fuel the stock injectors can supply so there's no need for bigger ones. If you want to bend the rules a little on a speedway car where you need to run a standard tune then you can slot the crank sensor and rotate it a few degrees for some more timing
i got pacemaker headers and magna injectors in my vs.. it goes a fair bit better than stock.. but that may be the headers alone
i have a CAI and cat back zorst on my car, and once i put the magna injectors in there was a slight gain in my VS
will the magna 1s fix a vr v6??
Yes, but as allready stated, they're going to make your car run worse. You need a tune to suit, and even then, it's not going to give you any added performance, unless your old injecotrs were rooted.
